I woke up

Just in case anyone was worried about me sleeping in on the first couple days of my job - I didn't. And my awesome, amazing, wonderful, husband Ben even got up and rode the bus with me so I wouldn't stay in bed sleeping and so I'd know exactly where to go when I got off the bus. (For those of you who don't understand, he didn't have class until 12:30 today but he was up at 7 and yesterday he was up at 6:30 and he didn't have class until 9:30). I so win!

Also, although I may have been to work on time, I am definitely struggling with the staying awake at work after about 2pm. Maybe someday my brain will get the hang of this waking up early thing. Any ideas on what I can do to keep me going the last few hours since, unlike my co-workers, coffee is not an option?

I've found that if I walk a decent distance on my breaks, I'm more awake. Especially if you can manage to get outside, even for a minute or two. Also, snacks, like apples. Nothing with too much sugar that will make you crash. But you're off sugar anyway, so I'm sure you know better than me!

I was going to ask you how your first two days went! Glad to hear you made it there. As for staying awake, let me know if you find the magic answer. In a year and a half of desk jobs, I almost never avoided the 2 pm crash. I tried drinking lots of water, eating snacks, and I still managed to nearly fall asleep at my desk a few times. Good luck!

Do you get a bread where you could do a yoga restoration asana?

Fran, you'll have to teach me the yoga restoration asana when you come and visit.

I like to walk around and drink water, lots of it. Hope your liking your job. Good luck with the BIG decision. We need to get together soon.
