Morning Musings

Lately I've been waking up around 7 am no matter what time I go to bed. The sun just comes up and shines through our closed tight blinds and my body wakes itself up. It's left me really tired come about 6 or 7pm every night.

Well, last night I went to bed really late so I was hoping that this morning I would be able to sleep in a while longer than normal. I closed the blinds extra tight last night before I climbed into bed, just to make sure.

Then this morning came and I actually managed to continue sleeping through Ben's exodus from the bed and his taking a shower. Unfortunately at 7:33 my loving and wonderful husband decided having a sleeping wife was not beneficial for him because he had a dream he needed to share. So, he stood by the bed for a second before deciding to poke me in the forehead. I think he poked me at least twice because I vaguely remember the out of body experience of watching him do it once before my mind really woke up.

Once he'd poked me enough to get me to acknowledge his existence I think he said something to the effect of, "Hey, you're awake! Let's cuddle." Then he proceeded to tell me about his dream - he made a mistake while working at the marshmallow plant which ended up causing a worldwide shortage of marshmallows.

Was his dream worth being woken up that early? Nope. But I've been laughing about his methods for disturbing my sleep all day. Another day of living with Ben, anything but ordinary.

(Also, I wrote this a few minutes after waking up from my nap which Ben woke me from by poking me in the forehead, again, when he got home from class. So if it doesn't make sense I'll go back and fix it when I'm more coherent)
