24th Birthday Blast! (Finally a blog with pictures)

So I was a bit hesitant to turn yet another year older but since I have an amazing husband I decided it might be worth it and I let April 17th come and go.

Anyway, it was quite an exciting birthday. I was able to spend Thursday evening eating out with some amazing friends (although I was sad a few were unable to make it due to work or other things).

Then on Friday morning Ben got up early to do this ....

and this ...

then he gave me this ...

I went to work where my co-workers took me to lunch and then I came home and my mom took me out to dinner at PF Changs. Then we headed up to Cory and Christy's for cake and pie. (I didn't take any pictures while I was there so go look at their blog). Then we got to spend some time with Sean and Rachel before they headed back to Illinois. Avery and Tristan kept me very entertained while we sat in Rhino poop or had to push buttons to open passageways to lands unknown and gained magical powers to keep the others from talking - It's amazing where a kids imagination will take you.

After all of the excitement above, Ben and I headed back home and went to sleep.

This is where some may think the excitement ends, but you are wrong.

On Saturday, Ben let me know we were going on a picnic. So I made some sandwiches, packed some cookies, etc. and then once it was time to go he said something like this, "Oh, by the way we aren't coming back until tomorrow morning so you might want to take that into consideration." So I spent the next couple minutes throwing things in a bag and wondering where the heck he was taking me.

Well, we went here ...

which happens to be a place in Logan.

and hiked this ...

Until we realized the trail was closed; then we went and hiked the Logan river trail and just enjoyed the warm weather.

After the hike, Ben pulled the biggest surprise of all. We stopped by the store to grab some food for breakfast the next morning then he took me here ...

(I forgot to take a picture of the actual sign).

And we stayed in this room ...

and I got to wear this awesome robe ... (which may or may not have been my favorite part of the whole thing)

and in the morning we ate this ...

and then we just layed around for a few hours and relaxed and then we went home and I faced the reality of being one year older ( I found my first gray hair).

Thanks Ben for an awesome weekend/Birthday!
