What we have been up to ..

I haven't been posting about much that we have been up to lately so this post is in an attempt to update people on our lives ...

We went to Festival of the Trees a couple weekends ago and saw my friend/co-worker perform there with her singing group. Then we browsed the trees, gingerbread houses, and other such oddities.

The giant gingerbread house was absolutely amazing. It just reminded me of the time me and Kjersty tried to make a gingerbread house that was 18 inches tall and we couldn't even make the walls stay up. It was an absolute disaster.

I think the decor on this tree says it all.

The next two pictures were taken because these statue people really freaked me out. I know what they are supposed to be but I didn't realize what they were illustrating until we got up close and up close the old guy is probably scarier looking than the ghost.

Notice anyone in the background trying to pretend to be an average background onlooker and not someone posing for the picture?

The next weekend my mom invited us to go to a Christmas performance up at Weber State so we headed up on the Frontrunner. The performance was actually a lot better than I was expecting. It was a singing, dancing, super-skit. It really got me into the Christmas spirit. Then we headed back to Salt Lake City just in time to eat some pizza and watch the BYU Basketball game - on TV :(

Since then I got a haircut ...

Annoyed Ben by taking a bunch of pictures ...

Watched "The Legend of the Seeker" ...

Took more more pictures of Ben which further annoyed him ...

Then we sat in front of our "fireplace" and read our Christmas stories.

I just love this time of year - minus the cold weather and snow, of course.

You guys already have way more fun Christmas traditions that we do. Good job.

Really, though, Brooke - would Christmas be the same without the cold and snow? There must be a tiny part of you that loves it!

You guys are having cozy fun! I agree with Rachel, you have more Christmas traditions that we do too. I might steal some (or all) of yours.

I think your fireplace dvd is hilarious.
