Sleepless in Seattle, Take 2

Somehow, just as things were getting better, they took a dramatic turn for the worse. I think E may still be teething and/or going through some growth spurt or something because all he wants to do all day is try and eat and he's been super cranky and drooly -- of course it doesn't help that he didn't get a nap in until almost 5pm.

As for our "cry it out" thing, I think we made the mistake on night 5 of staying in his room too long to get him to quit crying. Instead of just giving him a quick kiss on the cheek and sticking the pacifier in his mouth I sort of hung out holding his arms by his side, so he would quit whacking himself, until he went to sleep. ... And then last night we just gave up and I went back to feeding him when he woke up hoping that would at least get him to sleep longer. Unfortunately, that didn't work either. Blah. Where's that magic sleeping dust when I need it?

Also, I never did get my seven hours of sleep the other night. Oh well, a girl can dream, right? Maybe tonight will be the night. HA!

If I lived close to you, you could call me and I would play with E for hours, like take him for a ride in the stroller and go to the park and feed ducks at the pond and you could take a long nap and be refreshed. Yes, that's what I would like to do if we lived closer. But alas, all I can give you is my heart. Steal some ZZZZs anytime you can!

Blaaaaaahrrrgh, thanks for reminding me yet again why I don't want any more babies :) On that note, your descriptions of what it feels like to attempt to let the wee one cry it out, I've been there and I did not last as long as you did. It will pass- my kids are champ sleepers now.
