This is what I woke up to last Monday morning when I opened the blinds in our front room. I was not a happy person. I was even less of a happy person after I had to shovel the walks four times that day. Grrrr.
The day after the snow fell it was all blue skies and sunshine but the University of Washington canceled classes because it was still only about 20-30 degrees outside so nothing melted and the roads were treacherous.
Ben and I enjoyed our free day by addressing several apartment issues that popped up as a result of the freezing weather. Frozen pipes, broken heaters, leaking hot water tanks, you name it.
Luckily, it was absolutely beautiful outside so I didn't mind too much. It was a shame that the streets were awful. We were planning on seeing Harry Potter that day but we had to put it off until today (It was awesome! So awesome that I've already started a count-down chain until the next movie comes out).

Good shoveling Brooke. I wonder what the plants think of all this. Some of them might not survive!
I am curious how often you do have blue sky. When I have visited, we have been lucky with the weather--but I have been told that it is really cloudy most of the time. True?
The summer months are bright and shiny but fall through spring are pretty overcast. Although, this last year I didn't think it was that bad. The short hours of daylight in the winter got to me more than the cloudy days.
