When you live around water ...

Ben and I needed to stop by the library on Saturday to pick up a few books and since the library is right across the street from Greenlake we decided to go walk around the trail. Once we got to the other side of the lake we realized we were smack dab in the middle of a Rowing Tournament.

It was kind of fun to see all the hustle and bustle that I'm used to at Track Meets. Brought back good memories.

And some random pictures of the rowing event:

My favorite part was watching the teams trying to get the super long boats from the water to their parking spots and vice versa. I think that takes more team effort than the actual rowing.

They had to go back and forth and back and forth to get the angle they needed - all while trying to avoid running over people or damaging their boat.

I think this one got a good shot of how long these things are:

And after walking a little while longer we found the starting point. This was just after they said, "Go".

And then we saw a bunch of ducks just sleeping and enjoying the springtime sun:

It was a beautiful 68 degrees on Saturday and we enjoyed every second of it. I love warm weather.
