My Husband, The Genius

I am sure you all know how ruggedly handome, brilliant, and funny Ben is, but now I know the rest of the world sees it too.

Yesterday Ben received his final acceptance to pharmacy school. He was asked to interview at every single school he applied to and of those schools he chose to interview at, he was accepted by all of them.

Now we have a big decision to make - where we will choose to go? The choice is between University of Washington and University of Utah.

Both schools are ranked very high and we have very different pros and cons for each. Most importantly though, University of Utah we could probably do without student loans, or with very minimal debt. While University of Washington has the prestige, the adventure, and other life opportunities that we may not be able to experience otherwise.

So, we will try to keep you all updated - keep us in your prayers. I don't think I have ever had such a big decision to make.

I knew he'd get into all of them. He's a smart cookie, something genetic in that family. Hope it shows up in some of my kids one day. Maybe once they are mature enough to come out of imagination land and want to learn? Congrats and don't worry too much, pray and trust yourself and you'll know what to do. My "intuition" has never lead me astray.

Adventure and prestige, hands down. Or if you for some reason opt against that adventure, use the money saved by staying at the U to go on other adventures--like Italy. Win win situation either way.

Congratulations! As I always tell my own children: Isn't it great to have options?

Prestige isn't everything... Would you rather pay a lot of money and go into debt so that people will Ooo and ahhh over where you received your education just for the "prestige" of it? Or save money and receive, still a great education, for less? Bring on the money saving option!!

Ha. Let's just say the only thing keeping us from staying in Utah right now is Calculus 2. Guess we'll know for sure what we are doing as of July 1.
