Wanted: Cleaning Help.

I am a HUGE fan of cleanliness. The dark smudges on my tub that won't come off drive me crazy and that is why there is constantly a scrubber on the ledge of our tub. I can hook the scrubber to my foot and scrub while I am showering but it is impossible to get rid of the black smudginess. If I scrub too hard the tub starts to flake because parts of the bottom are peeling and soon I have a bunch of tub flakes all over and it is just sooo frustrating. Any ideas on a good product that I can let sit for a bit then just scrub a little bit to get the black to go away???

depends what the black is. if it's an old enamel tub or something the black may be showing from under the white and scrubbing will make it worse b/c it can't come off. it would just make more black show. if it's some sort of scuff goof off? if it's residue CLR, comet? good luck. i don't think it's coming off. it's probably been there for years.=)

Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. Those things work wonders.

doesn't your mom know the answer? someone took a permanent marker to our street's mailbox. made me mad. i scrubbed it with a magic eraser for a long time. it didn't all come off but at least it's gray now instead of black. stupid vandals.

Yeah, if it's not coming off it doesn't sound like dirt, it sounds like it's permanent, like a feature of the tub being exposed. Sorry! :(
